COLOR OF THE WEEK: VERMILION

Todays COLOR OF THE WEEK is the MOLOTOW ONE4ALL Acrylic Paint #242 Vermilion, often used between antiquity and the 19th century from the powdered mineral cinnabar. The color is synonymous with red orange, which often takes a modern form, but is 11% brighter. That’s why the German name of the color is Blood orange because it is so deep, rich red with a hint of orange and reminiscent of the color of the flesh of a ripe blood orange. Vermilion is a versatile color that can evoke a variety of emotions and meanings and it is a color that is both powerful and elegant, and it is suitable for a wide variety of applications.
