Dutch street art organization Writer’s Block has returned to the city of Lelystad for another round of street art extravaganza! Multiple artists from all over the world worked through rainy weather to transform an old building in the center of the city into a colorful artwork.
One of the more prominent buildings in the center of Lelystad was long due for a makeover. For a lot of the local residents, the building was a pain in the eye with its boarded-up walls. Writer’s Block, together with the municipality and multiple (inter)national street artists, had made it their mission the make the building a positive landmark for the area. Artists Rocket01, Sipros Sipros, Lidia Cao, Kymo One, Jay Kaes, James Klinge, Frau Isa, and Cindy Kerpentier resided in Lelystad center from October 12th to October 17th. Saturday multiple local artists picked up their spray cans to transform the tunnel that’s part of the building, leading to the back.
All the artworks have been made with a wide range of MOLOTOW Premium colors. The quick-drying paint made sure all the artworks stayed in place during the Dutch autumn weather.
