Urban Art is an outdoor street art event based in Brixton, London that has been running successfully since 2002. For the 14th year running residents of South London’s Josephine Avenue will once again be turning their sleepy street into a bustling Art Fair. With over 200 exhibitors this is a great opportunity to buy work direct from the artists and discover a wealth of creative skills, including street-art, painting, printmaking, photography and mixed media. Exhibitors range from the novice to the established and with prices to match this really is an event for all art lovers, whatever your budget.
This year is the third year of our exciting Street Art area organised by. Some of the best graffiti/street artists from the UK will be painting live over the weekend on huge white walls and other special surprises. Last years event saw some amazing works by artists such as Mr Cenz, Gent 48, Tizer One, Solo One, Lovepusher, Vibes and Odissy. As before all the walls will go on display in Brixton square for a week after the event
This year our Graffiti/Street Art area organised by www.positivearts.co.uk will transform the whole Brixton Hill end of Josephine Avenue into a giant colourful gallery. Talented artists such as Inkie, Mr cenz, Jimmy C, Lovepusher, Gent 48 and Bonzai will be painting live on our boards, containers, hoardings and walls. As before all the artwork will go on display in Brixton square for a week after the event.

The event will also feature food stalls and music and the opportunity to raise money for some very worthy causes. All sales during the weekend will help raise funds for Urban Art’s charity partners who this year include our two local schools and the Southside Rehabilitation project.
