French muralist KALOUF ART is back with another 9m x 7m mural this time dedicated to the Night Owl spraypainted with MOLOTOW Premium and by the support of @molotowmadrid and captured by @staffvideo!
The artist about his recent work:
“The Eurasian Eagle Owl is the largest nocturnal bird of prey in the world. Majestic and impressive, it is also a formidable predator. I wanted to honor this creature that has fascinated me since childhood, as I had the opportunity to see them several times. I proposed creating this mural in Madrid because its largest populations are found notably in Spain. Additionally, the graffiti artist is also a night owl, enjoying leaving his mark on the city’s spaces.
In France, all nocturnal birds of prey are protected, but the Eagle Owl is particularly sensitive. Even slight disturbances can lead to nest abandonment. After a decline from the 1970s to the 1990s in Southern Europe, the population has stabilized but has not yet returned to its original levels. Direct threats include hunting and poaching, collisions with cars, light pollution, and ingestion of prey contaminated by pesticides and rodenticides.” (#kaloufart)
