STREET KINGS 2 Festival Szczecin

Szczecin lit up in entirely new colors at the end of October as the Street Kings Festival organized the LOKAL VANDAL CREW and supported by FLAME ORANGE with WRONGSIDESHOP.PL once again transformed the Dzielnica Cudów. For three days, the neighborhood became an open studio where around forty artists from Poland and across Europe left their mark. The festival took place during a meaningful year for the city, as Szczecin celebrates its hundredth anniversary, and the new murals became a gift to its residents and to the city’s history.

From morning until late in the evening, the streets were filled with the hiss of FLAME ORANGE spray cans, the smell of fresh paint, and a special kind of energy that only arises where graffiti art is created directly in public space. Visitors could watch the artists at work, strike up conversations, or simply observe how dull walls gradually turned into vibrant landmarks. The mix of local talent and international guests brought a diversity of styles to the district — from classic graffiti lettering to large-scale figurative compositions.

It became especially clear how much the festival contributes to improving the neighborhood. Facades that once went unnoticed have become eye-catchers. Corners that people used to walk past quickly now invite them to take photos and linger. For the residents, the festival has long been more than an event — it is a moment in which their neighborhood receives recognition and in which a sense of community emerges.

When the weekend came to an end, it left behind not only impressive graffiti pieces but also the feeling that public art can redefine an entire neighborhood. Street Kings showed how powerful such projects can be: they inspire, connect, and give a city a visible identity. Szczecin can now enjoy yet another colorful trace that will continue to tell the story of what was created on those days.
