Meet 92-year-old photographer Jon Naar as the New Jersey State Museum mounts a retrospective of the Trenton resident’s work. The show runs from January 19 to May 5, 2013. Before becoming a professional photographer at age 44, Naar was a British Secret Service agent in the Middle East during WWII and an international marketing executive. But in the early 1960s he met photographer André Kertész who encouraged him to follow his youthful passion and become a photographer. John Naar books include the first ever on solar power and a collection of photographs documenting New York Graffiti. His work is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
